Netanyahu Vows Hamas ‘Will Pay Full Price’ for Failing to Return Shiri Bibas

Prime Minister Condemns ‘Cruel and Wicked’ Violation of Hostage Agreement.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed on Friday morning that Hamas would “pay full price” for its breach of the hostage-ceasefire agreement, after the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that the body returned as Shiri Bibas was not hers. Instead, Hamas delivered the body of an unidentified Gazan woman.

“Hamas will pay the full price for this cruel and wicked violation of the agreement,” Netanyahu declared. He condemned the terror group’s actions, highlighting the horror of not returning Shiri to her children, Ariel and Kfir, who were brutally murdered in captivity.

“Not only did Hamas kidnap the father, Yarden Bibas, the young mother, Shiri, and their two small babies, Ariel and Kfir, in an unspeakably evil manner, they did not return Shiri to her little children, her little angels, and instead put the body of a Gazan woman in a coffin,” Netanyahu stated.

On Thursday, Israel had received four bodies from Hamas as part of a hostage exchange agreement. While the bodies of Ariel and Kfir Bibas, aged four years and ten months, and 84-year-old Oded Lifshitz were identified, the fourth body did not belong to Shiri Bibas as previously indicated.

The IDF confirmed that extensive forensic tests were conducted on the anonymous body to ensure accurate identification. Officials stressed that the body’s condition allowed for a clear determination that it was not Shiri Bibas.

Netanyahu honored the memory of Ariel, Kfir, and Oded Lifshitz, describing their deaths as a result of “terrible cruelty” by Hamas during the initial weeks of the war.

“The cruelty of the Hamas monsters knows no bounds,” Netanyahu said. “We will act resolutely to bring Shiri home along with all our hostages both living and dead and ensure that Hamas pays the full price for this cruel and wicked violation of the agreement.”

He concluded with a powerful and somber message: “May God avenge their blood. We, too, will take revenge.”
