Netanyahu Praises Huckabee as Lighthouse of Moral Clarity

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu extended heartfelt praise to U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee during a celebratory meeting on Wednesday, calling the former governor and longtime ally “a lighthouse of moral clarity” on the occasion of his 70th birthday.
“Israel loves you. The Jewish people cherish you. The world is brighter because of you,” Netanyahu told Huckabee in a private gathering that underscored the ambassador’s unshakeable commitment to the Jewish state.
“You are a lighthouse of moral clarity, a fearless voice of faith, and a lifelong champion of the U.S.–Israel alliance. Happy birthday!” Netanyahu declared, capturing the deep appreciation many Israelis feel toward the American diplomat.
Huckabee, a former Arkansas governor and presidential candidate, has been a vocal supporter of Israel for decades. In his current role as U.S. Ambassador to Israel under the Trump administration, he has become one of the most prominent defenders of Israel’s right to defend itself particularly during its ongoing war against Hamas in Gaza.
Last week, Huckabee reinforced the Trump administration’s position by stating that the establishment of a Palestinian state is not a current priority, urging European leaders to "reassess" their positions and recognize the security and moral imperatives facing Israel. His remarks came as several EU countries pushed for unilateral recognition of Palestinian statehood a move Huckabee and Israeli officials say only emboldens Hamas.
His steadfast stance has earned him admiration across the Israeli political spectrum. Unlike many diplomats who waver under international pressure, Huckabee has consistently championed Israel’s sovereignty, security, and historical legitimacy.
