Netanyahu Released from Hospital After Successful Surgery

Israeli Prime Minister Thanks Citizens and Medical Staff for Support.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was discharged from Jerusalem’s Hadassah Ein Karem Medical Center on Thursday, four days after undergoing successful prostate surgery. His office confirmed that his recovery was progressing well, with continued medical follow-ups planned.

Hadassah Medical Center stated that Netanyahu's condition remained stable, and he was recovering “satisfactorily.” The 75-year-old leader expressed gratitude to the people of Israel for their prayers and encouragement. “I would like to thank the many, many citizens of Israel for their prayers, encouragement, and support that have deeply moved me and my family,” he wrote on X. He also extended appreciation to the medical team for their dedication.

Netanyahu’s surgery followed the discovery of a benign prostate enlargement, which had caused a urinary tract infection. The procedure, performed on Sunday night, was deemed successful. His office assured the public that he was fully conscious and in good condition after waking from anesthesia. He was transferred to an underground recovery unit for security reasons, as Israel remains vigilant against threats from hostile actors in Lebanon and Yemen.

Despite medical advice, Netanyahu briefly left the hospital on Tuesday to participate in a crucial Knesset vote on a budget law, underscoring his commitment to maintaining political stability within his coalition.

This marks the latest in a series of medical procedures for Netanyahu. In March, he successfully underwent hernia surgery at the same hospital. Last year, he also underwent a cardiac procedure but was later given a clean bill of health following routine checkups.

Israel’s leadership remains strong, with Netanyahu resuming his duties as he recovers. His return to work reflects his determination to lead during challenging times.
