Benjamin Netanyahu Declares Trump’s Win the Greatest Comeback in History

Israeli Leaders Hail Trump’s Return as a New Chapter for US-Israel Alliance.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and members of the Knesset celebrated Donald Trump’s return to the White House, calling it “history’s greatest comeback.” In a message to the President-elect, Netanyahu expressed optimism about a renewed era for U.S.-Israel relations, saying, “Your historic return to the White House offers a new beginning for America and a powerful recommitment to the great alliance between Israel and America. This is a huge victory!”

Trump’s victory drew widespread praise from Israeli leaders who view his presidency as a boost to Israel’s security and strategic goals. Incoming Defense Minister Israel Katz welcomed Trump’s win, pledging, “Together, we’ll strengthen the US-Israel alliance, bring back the hostages, and stand firm to defeat the axis of evil led by Iran.” National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir simply posted, “Yesssss,” on social media.

Israeli President Isaac Herzog praised Trump as a “true and dear friend of Israel” and expressed enthusiasm for advancing “a future of peace and security for the Middle East.” Herzog added, “On behalf of the Jewish and democratic State of Israel, and all our people, I wish you much success.”

Energy and Infrastructure Minister Eli Cohen highlighted the significance of Trump’s leadership, expressing confidence that Trump will help expand the Abraham Accords and confront Iran’s regime. Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich echoed these sentiments, writing, “God bless Israel, God bless America.”

Additional congratulations poured in from ministers across the political spectrum, including Innovation, Science, and Technology Minister Gila Gamliel, who called the U.S.-Israel alliance a “strategic asset for both nations,” and Culture and Sports Minister Miki Zohar, who looked forward to “the next four years.”

As Israeli leaders anticipate deepening the partnership with the U.S. under Trump’s leadership, the focus remains on strengthening regional security, expanding economic cooperation, and addressing threats posed by adversarial states. With high expectations from Israel’s political leaders, Trump’s presidency is seen as a promising chapter for advancing shared goals.
