Murdered Hostage Ohad Yahalomi Laid to Rest in Kibbutz Nir Oz

Family and Supporters Mourn Victim of Hamas Captivity.

Ohad Yahalomi, one of the many innocent Israelis kidnapped by Hamas during the October 7 massacre, was finally laid to rest on Wednesday at Kibbutz Nir Oz. Yahalomi, along with three other hostages Itzik Elgarat, Shlomo Mantzur, and Tsachi Idan was murdered in captivity. Their remains were returned to Israel last Thursday.

The Yahalomi family, together with the Hostages and Missing Families Forum, invited the public to join the funeral procession and pay their last respects. The procession began early in the morning in Rishon LeZion, making its way to Nir Oz, where eulogies were delivered on the lawn beside the dining hall. His burial followed at the kibbutz cemetery.

Elgarat was laid to rest on Monday in Nir Oz, while Mantzur, 86, the oldest hostage murdered in Hamas captivity, was buried on Sunday in Kibbutz Kissufim, where he had lived for over seven decades.

The return of their bodies serves as a painful reminder of the horrors inflicted by Hamas on Israeli civilians. The families, along with the entire nation, continue to demand the immediate release of all remaining hostages.

Israel stands strong in the face of terror, ensuring that those who commit such atrocities are held accountable. Every hostage must come home. Share this article or subscribe to our newsletter for updates and help keep their memory alive.
