Patricia Heaton Joins $4.65 Billion Jewish Giving Campaign
Hollywood star helps push global commitment to Jewish causes over milestone.

Actress Patricia Heaton, best known for her iconic roles in “Everybody Loves Raymond” and “The Middle,” has become the 100,000th signer of a remarkable $4.65 billion philanthropic campaign supporting Jewish communities and Israel. Her endorsement of the Jewish Future Promise (JFP) initiative marks a powerful alliance between Christian and Jewish values at a time of rising antisemitism.
Heaton’s participation comes through her October 7th Coalition, a network of Christian voices united against antisemitism in the wake of Hamas’ barbaric massacre against Israel. “As a Christian, my spiritual heritage exists in the Jewish people,” she said. “Our shared Judeo-Christian values are the foundation for the free and thriving democracies we see in Israel, America, and around the world.”
The Jewish Future Promise initiative launched in response to a 2017 study that found only 11% of major Jewish philanthropists’ donations went to Jewish or Israeli causes. Unlike traditional charities, JFP does not solicit or manage funds it inspires donors to pledge that at least half of their lifetime giving will support Jewish institutions or Israel.
Backed by powerhouse donors such as the Charles & Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation, the Marcus Foundation, and the deToledo Family Fund, the campaign is setting a new standard for commitment to Jewish continuity.
“Each of these 100,000 promises represents a beacon of hope, not just for our generation, but for every generation to come,” said Hadara Ishak, President of JFP. The organization now has its eyes set on expanding to 250,000 and even 500,000 promisers worldwide.
The initiative goes beyond financial pledges. It is fostering intergenerational conversations about Jewish identity, cultural preservation, and the critical role of philanthropy in building strong, secure Jewish futures. JFP’s youth engagement efforts, targeting ages 13 to 24, aim to sow seeds of lasting commitment to Jewish life.
This growing movement reflects a powerful truth: Israel and Jewish communities worldwide are not alone. They are supported by allies, admired for their heritage, and backed by a vast network of people dedicated to their flourishing.
