Rescued Hostage Qaid Farhan Alkadi Returns Home After Hospital Discharge
Hostage Expresses Gratitude and Relief After Release from Hamas Captivity.
Qaid Farhan Alkadi, the Israeli-Bedouin hostage recently rescued from Hamas captivity, has been discharged from Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba, the hospital announced on Wednesday. Alkadi was rescued on Tuesday by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in a daring operation that brought him back from the horrors of his detention in Rafah.
Upon his release from the hospital, Alkadi expressed immense relief and gratitude, particularly for the time he now has with his family. "I cherish every minute I have in the light; I was in darkness for so long," Alkadi said, highlighting the emotional toll of his ordeal.
According to his doctor, Alkadi is still very emotional and has struggled to sleep, but his overall condition is stable. "The weight loss is very noticeable, but he is a very strong person," the doctor noted, emphasizing that Alkadi’s physical condition shows signs of neglect, though his recovery prospects are good.
Throughout his hospital stay, Alkadi was surrounded by his family, who provided comfort and support during this critical time. As he returns to normal life, the focus will be on helping him heal both physically and emotionally from his harrowing experience.
