Iran’s Exiled Crown Prince Calls for Israel Recognition and Cyrus Accords

Revised proposal seeks faster implementation and stronger deterrence as Israel confronts ongoing terror threats.

In a landmark declaration that could reshape the future of the Middle East, exiled Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi announced Thursday that a free, post-Islamic Republic Iran would immediately recognize the State of Israel, normalize relations with the United States, and dismantle its military nuclear program.

Addressing “all of our friends around the world” in a powerful video message shared on X, Pahlavi outlined a sweeping diplomatic and economic agenda, envisioning a secular, democratic Iran aligned with global norms and regional stability.

“Under the yoke of the Islamic Republic, Iran is identified in your minds with terrorism, extremism, and poverty,” said Pahlavi, the 65-year-old son of the last Shah of Iran. “The real Iran is a different Iran. A beautiful, peace-loving, and flourishing Iran.”

A key part of his vision is the creation of the “Cyrus Accords” a proposed extension of the US-brokered Abraham Accords that would unite a free Iran, Israel, and the Arab world under a framework of peace and shared interests. “The State of Israel will be recognized immediately,” he pledged. “We will pursue the expansion of the Abraham Accords into the Cyrus Accords.”

Pahlavi, who has lived in exile since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, has emerged as the most prominent opposition voice amid Iran’s escalating domestic crisis. Mass protests sparked by economic collapse and widespread repression have already led to over 2,600 confirmed deaths, with many observers warning of a full-scale collapse of the regime.

In a direct challenge to Tehran’s ideology, Pahlavi promised that a future Iranian government would end all support for terrorism, halt funding for armed militias, and work alongside global partners to combat extremist threats. “Iran’s nuclear military program will end. Support for terrorist groups will cease immediately,” he declared.

The crown prince also pledged to normalize ties with the United States and restore the long-broken friendship between the Iranian and American people. “Iran will act as a friend and a stabilizing force in the region. And it will be a responsible partner in global security,” he added.

His economic plan envisions Iran as one of the “world’s last great untapped markets,” boasting an educated population and a vibrant diaspora. With transparent governance, international investment, and responsible energy management, Pahlavi said Iran can emerge as a reliable global energy supplier and a hub for innovation.

“This is not an abstract vision. It is a practical one,” he concluded. “The fall of the Islamic Republic and the establishment of a secular, democratic government in Iran will not only restore dignity to my people it will benefit the region and the world.”

Pahlavi has already made history by visiting Israel in 2023, participating in Holocaust Remembrance Day events, visiting the Western Wall, and meeting with Rabbi Leo Dee, whose family was murdered in a Palestinian terror attack. His outspoken support for Israel, and rejection of the regime’s genocidal ideology, distinguishes him as a transformative figure in Iran’s future.

With Israeli security threatened by Iran’s continued aggression including missile strikes and covert nuclear development Pahlavi’s bold declaration offers a powerful alternative vision: one of peace, partnership, and mutual respect.
