Sa’ar Launches Global Jewish Forum to Confront Rising Antisemitism
Jerusalem to host J50 summit uniting Jewish leaders and influencers in defense of Israel and world Jewry.

As antisemitic incidents surge worldwide, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar is taking decisive action. He announced on Monday that dozens of leaders from Jewish communities and organizations across the globe will gather in Jerusalem this month for the J50 Forum an international initiative dedicated to combating Jew-hatred and strengthening global Jewish unity.
The forum, set to take place between December 21 and 24, will bring together community leaders, foreign ministry officials, journalists, influencers, and survivors of antisemitic terror including former hostage Keith Siegel. Sa’ar founded the forum earlier this year during the International Conference against Antisemitism, and it has quickly become a cornerstone of Israel’s diplomatic response to the rising tide of global antisemitism.
Held under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the J50 Forum will feature intensive policy briefings, strategy workshops, and a rollout of Israel’s new public diplomacy (Hasbarah) agenda. The goal: to equip Jewish leaders with the tools and unified messaging needed to defend Jewish communities and promote Israel’s case on the world stage.
“The J50 Forum is not just a conference it’s a response to an emergency,” Sa’ar said. “We are witnessing a global explosion of antisemitic rhetoric and violence. We must act together and without hesitation.”
The timing of the event could not be more urgent. Recent terror attacks targeting Jews in Sydney and across Europe, inflammatory rhetoric by hostile regimes, and a surge in online antisemitism have left Jewish communities worldwide feeling vulnerable and under siege.
In parallel to the forum, the Israeli government has significantly ramped up its investment in global Israel advocacy. Earlier this month, Sa’ar and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich secured NIS 2.35 billion in the 2026 state budget for public diplomacy initiatives a historic allocation aimed at reinforcing Israel’s voice abroad. Of that amount, NIS 1 billion has already been authorized.
“Alongside the budget increase, the government approved my proposal to establish a public diplomacy unit in the Foreign Affairs Ministry,” Sa’ar announced. “A head of the public diplomacy unit will be appointed, just as there is a head of the political unit. This new division will lead the ministry’s outreach and international messaging efforts.”
With the launch of the J50 Forum and unprecedented state resources committed to advocacy, Israel is declaring that it will not remain silent. The Jewish state is taking the lead in confronting antisemitism with clarity, strategy, and unity.
Jerusalem, the eternal capital of the Jewish people, will serve as the meeting ground for a global call to action one that reaffirms the right of Jews everywhere to live with dignity, pride, and safety.
