Widow of Convicted Terrorist Walid Daqqa Arrested for Inciting Violence Against Israel
Argentina’s president is honored for his staunch pro-Israel stance, as new regional outreach campaign aims to reshape Latin American ties with the Jewish state.

Israeli police arrested Sana’a Daqqa, widow of notorious terrorist Walid Daqqa, on Thursday night near Jerusalem’s Nablus Gate for incitement against the State of Israel and its soldiers. According to law enforcement, Daqqa had posted content on social media praising terrorists, including her late husband and slain Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar.
Police confirmed that Daqqa was taken into custody during a coordinated operation and is under investigation for promoting violent rhetoric. “The Israel Police will reach out to any person, anywhere, who calls for incitement against the State of Israel and IDF soldiers and will bring them to justice to the fullest extent,” said a police spokesperson.
Police Commissioner Danny Levi ordered the arrest at the request of National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, citing the severity of her inflammatory statements.
Sana’a’s late husband, Walid Daqqa, was a convicted member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). He was involved in the 1984 kidnapping and brutal murder of IDF soldier Moshe Tamam. The court found that Daqqa orchestrated the abduction for ransom and explicitly ordered Tamam's execution should complications arise.
Walid Daqqa served 37 years in Israeli prison and gained infamy among terror circles for reportedly smuggling sperm out of Gilboa Prison to father a child, a feat Palestinian Authority TV later celebrated. Amnesty International controversially campaigned for his release despite his role in terrorism. He died of cancer in 2024, having been denied early release by Israeli authorities.
The arrest of his widow underscores Israel’s firm stance against incitement and the glorification of terrorism. Authorities have long warned that social media continues to serve as a battleground in the war against terror, where radicalization and incitement often lead to real-world violence.
As Israel remains vigilant in its efforts to protect its citizens and soldiers, law enforcement’s message is clear: celebrating or promoting terror in any form will be met with legal consequences.
