Israeli Finance Minister aims to deepen cooperation, investments during meetings with Indian officials and business leaders.

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich departed Sunday for India, leading a high-level economic-diplomatic delegation aimed at strengthening bilateral economic cooperation and expanding mutual investments between Israel and India.
Smotrich is accompanied by top officials from the Finance Ministry, including Director-General Ilan Rom, Chief Economist Shmuel Abramzon, Accountant-General Yahli Rotenberg, and Israel Securities Authority chairman Sefi Zinger.
The delegation will engage in a series of meetings with Indian ministers, senior government officials, and key figures from the Indian business community. Discussions are expected to focus on advancing economic agreements, exploring joint ventures, and enhancing financial sector collaboration.
Smotrich will also meet with members of India’s Jewish community in a special session highlighting cultural ties between the nations.
The visit reflects Israel’s continued effort to build on its strategic partnership with India, which includes cooperation across technology, defense, agriculture, and trade. It comes amid a broader push by Jerusalem to diversify its economic alliances and deepen ties with major global players in Asia. Share this article or subscribe to our newsletter for updates.
