WJC Israel Chief Asks Trump to Join Israel’s Effort Against Iran
Sylvan Adams calls on Trump to lead a historic stand against Tehran’s terror regime.

Sylvan Adams, head of the World Jewish Congress’s Israel Region, has issued a bold appeal to former U.S. President Donald J. Trump: join Israel in its existential war against Iran. In a letter sent this week, Adams described the moment as historic, a test of global leadership, and a moral imperative.
“This is your Churchillian moment. Help Israel rid the world of this scourge,” Adams urged. He praised Trump’s previous leadership specifically the withdrawal from the JCPOA and the targeted killing of Iranian terror mastermind Qassem Soleimani in 2020 as foundational steps in containing Iran’s malign influence.
Now, with Israel engaged in an unprecedented campaign to dismantle Iran’s nuclear infrastructure and terror networks, Adams is calling for full U.S. support. “The Iranian regime is on the verge of acquiring nuclear weapons,” he warned. “This is a red line not just for Israel, but for all of humanity.”
Adams detailed Iran’s decades-long campaign of global terror, linking the Islamic Republic directly to atrocities from the 1983 Marine barracks bombing in Beirut to the October 7 massacre by Hamas. He described Iran as the “world’s worst and most dangerous terror state,” actively arming Hezbollah, Hamas, the Houthis, and other extremist groups to destabilize the region and attack civilians.
He framed the current moment as not merely a military conflict, but a fight for civilization itself. “Israel is now leading a historic battle against the head of the snake the radical Islamist Iranian regime,” Adams wrote, casting Israel as the front line in a war that affects the entire free world.
In a compelling close, Adams linked Trump’s legacy to this pivotal conflict, writing, “Your destiny is to become the most consequential US president since Truman or, perhaps even since Lincoln.” He envisioned a future where a free Iran could join the Abraham Accords Trump’s landmark diplomatic achievement ushering in a new era of peace and stability.
Reaffirming the unique bond between the two nations, Adams concluded, “There are no closer allies nor better friends in the world than Israel and the United States of America.”
