Terrorists Hide Explosives Inside Baby Stroller in Latest Tulkarm Attack

Palestinian terrorists in Tulkarm have been found hiding an explosive device inside a baby stroller, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) revealed on Tuesday. This disturbing tactic was uncovered during Israel’s ongoing counterterror operations in the region, further highlighting the lengths to which terror groups will go to exploit civilians and infrastructure for attacks.

“Palestinian terrorists exploit the civilian population and exploit roads and infrastructure – but the ones who pay the price are the citizens,” tweeted Col. Avichay Adraee, the IDF’s Arabic-language spokesman, sharing an image of the bomb hidden inside the stroller. “It’s time for the population to tell these terrorist thugs, enough, stay away from us,” he added.

The discovery comes amid Israel’s largest counterterror operation in months, known as Operation Summer Camp. Launched on August 28, the operation has focused on multiple locations, including the Jenin refugee camp, Nur al-Shams camp in Tulkarm, and areas in northwestern Samaria. The raids were initiated based on intelligence that terror groups were preparing further attacks on Israeli civilians.

In a separate but related incident, Israeli security forces assessed that a car bomb found on Monday morning near the entrance of the community of Ateret was likely intended to target a school bus filled with children. The bomb, composed of two gas canisters linked to a detonation mechanism, was discovered during a routine army patrol and safely neutralized by sappers. A manhunt for the terrorists behind the attack is ongoing.

Since the escalation of violence on October 7, Israeli security forces have arrested approximately 5,000 Palestinian terror suspects, with 2,000 of them identified as members of Hamas.
