Israel's Isolation Is Political, Not Popular, Says Christian Media Leader

NRB President Troy Miller blames global elites for growing hostility toward Israel and urges Christians to stand up for truth and allyship.

As Israel faces rising international hostility and diplomatic isolation nearly two years after the October 7 Hamas massacre, Troy Miller, president of the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB), is sounding the alarm: this isolation, he says, isn’t coming from the people it’s being driven by global elites.

In a wide-ranging interview, Miller reflected on the lasting impact of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, the moral clarity it brought to faith-based communities, and the disturbing surge in antisemitic and anti-Israel narratives dominating political and media discourse.

“Israel’s isolation isn’t grassroots it’s orchestrated by elites, governments, and institutions that ignore the will of the people,” Miller said, condemning recent UN hostility and European government support for Hamas-aligned initiatives, even as thousands of their citizens still rally in support of Israel.

Comparing the unity around Kirk’s death to a presidential funeral, Miller recalled the spiritual strength of that moment. “It’s going to go down in history,” he said, describing Kirk as a “gentle spirit” whose assassination was a “tipping point” for many Christians who saw it as an attack on someone who deeply cared about others and about Israel.

Miller pushed back strongly against false narratives suggesting Kirk had distanced himself from Israel before his death. “No proof. Zero,” he emphasized, noting that Kirk launched TPUSA Faith and was known for forging Judeo-Christian alliances. Attempts to paint him as anti-Israel were not just baseless they were strategic, part of a growing campaign to smear pro-Israel voices and stoke antisemitic conspiracy theories.

Miller warned that a distorted version of history is being taught to children, including in European schools where students are instructed to draw only the Palestinian flag. “It’s not education—it’s indoctrination,” he said, calling on educators and policymakers to present balanced views if the goal is truly peace.

He noted that U.S. Christians continue to hold prayer services and community gatherings focused on healing, hostage return, and solidarity with Israel. “The Christian community hasn’t forgotten what happened on October 7,” Miller said. “And we won’t.”

As president of the NRB an umbrella organization representing tens of thousands of Christian media outlets Miller is advocating not only for truth in international affairs but for freedom of speech at home. He linked this to his support for the AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act, legislation that seeks to protect free access to over-the-air information from tech industry censorship.

“AM radio isn’t about nostalgia it’s about access,” Miller said, warning that control over speech and narrative is being consolidated by those with anti-faith, anti-freedom agendas. “Free speech means free speech. Period. End of discussion.”

Returning to the two-state solution debate, Miller questioned the logic of Western elites calling for a Palestinian state when Hamas and Fatah each rule separate territories and both reject Israel’s existence. “Neither group wants peace. So what state are you even calling for?” he asked.

Despite the growing isolation of Israel on the international stage, Miller said Christian support in the U.S. remains strong, and it continues to be a critical pillar in maintaining bipartisan backing for the Jewish state. “That’s what’s helping hold the line politically,” he said.

Miller ended with a challenge to Christians in Europe, urging them to move beyond protests and into action. “It’s time for them to stand up. Not just in the streets, but at the ballot box. You can’t change policy if you don’t engage politically.”

As Israel continues to fight for its security and legitimacy, Miller’s message is clear: the war is not only on the battlefield it’s for hearts, minds, and truth itself.
