Sara Netanyahu Joins Donald Trump for Dinner at Florida Golf Course
Meeting highlights Israel’s security concerns and the plight of Hamas hostages.
President-elect Donald Trump hosted Sara Netanyahu, wife of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, for dinner at Trump International Golf Course in Florida on Monday. The meeting, announced by Communications Deputy Director Margo Martin, emphasized the close ties between Trump and the Israeli leadership.
Martin posted a photo of the dinner on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “President @realDonaldTrump and Sara Netanyahu having dinner at Trump International Golf Course tonight.” Sara Netanyahu also shared an Instagram update, describing her conversation with Trump as focused on Israel’s ongoing challenges since the October 7 Hamas attack.
“I raised with the president the immense suffering our country has endured since October 7 and the inhumanity of the Hamas terrorists, who are holding our abducted citizens under harsh conditions,” Sara Netanyahu wrote. “I emphasized the urgent need to act for their release and their swift return.”
The meeting underscores the pressing issue of the hostages taken by Hamas during the attack, which has left Israelis and their allies searching for resolutions.
Sara Netanyahu arrived in Miami last week and is expected to remain in Florida until mid-December. Her son, Yair Netanyahu, has been living in Miami since March 2023. Sara’s stay coincides with Prime Minister Netanyahu’s upcoming testimony in his ongoing criminal trials, scheduled to begin next week. Attorney-General Gali Baharav-Miara stated there was no legal basis to declare the prime minister unfit to serve during this time.
The Netanyahus’ relationship with Trump remains strong. Following Trump’s November 5 election victory, Prime Minister Netanyahu called it “history’s greatest comeback” and noted multiple conversations with the president-elect. Both leaders reportedly align on key issues concerning Israel’s security and prosperity.
As Sara Netanyahu continues her visit in Florida, her meeting with Trump signals the enduring partnership between Israel and the United States under the incoming administration. Share this story or subscribe to our newsletter for further updates on Israeli-American relations.
