Trump Reaffirms Full Support for Israel on Gaza Ceasefire

During a high-profile meeting at Mar-a-Lago, President Donald Trump publicly praised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and dismissed reports of U.S.-Israel tensions over the Gaza ceasefire implementation. The president firmly stated that Israel has “lived up to the plan 100 percent,” highlighting unwavering American support amid sensitive regional diplomacy.

Trump’s comments came as speculation mounted over alleged frustrations within Washington regarding the pace of post-war developments in Gaza. Speaking directly to the press alongside Netanyahu, Trump made it clear that he is fully confident in Israel’s handling of the situation. “I’m not concerned about anything that Israel’s doing,” he said. “They’ve lived up to the plan, and they’re strong, they’re solid.”

The president was referring to Israel’s adherence to the U.S.-backed ceasefire roadmap for Gaza, which aims to stabilize the Strip following recent conflict. While other parties to the plan, including Hamas, have drawn criticism for repeated violations, Trump emphasized Israel’s consistent commitment. “We’ve given them a couple of second chances,” Trump added, “but I know Israel has lived up to the plan 100 percent.”

Trump also credited the U.S. strike on Iran’s regional infrastructure as a key enabler of the Gaza peace initiative. “Don’t forget: We made the plan possible by taking out Iran,” he noted, framing Washington’s actions as pivotal to creating space for progress.

One area of debate between the U.S. and Israel has involved the formation of an international stabilization force (ISF) for Gaza. While the U.S. supports Turkey’s potential participation in the UN-led force, Israel has voiced opposition to any Turkish involvement due to longstanding regional tensions.

Trump acknowledged the disagreement but played down any friction, suggesting that Israel’s voice would be central to future decisions. “A lot will be having to do with Bibi,” he said, indicating that Netanyahu would remain closely involved in shaping the outcome.

On the sensitive issue of Turkish-Israeli relations, Trump struck a diplomatic tone. “I know President Erdogan very well… and Bibi respects him,” he said. “They’re not going to have a problem. We’re not going to have a problem.”
