$6.4 Billion Weapons Sale to Israel Backed by Trump Administration
Proposed deal includes Apache helicopters and infantry vehicles amid expanded IDF operations in Gaza.

The Trump administration is preparing a massive $6.4 billion arms package for Israel, according to sources familiar with the matter. The proposed sale, which requires congressional approval, includes advanced helicopters, troop carriers, and critical support equipment.
The centerpiece of the deal is a $3.8 billion agreement for 30 AH-64 Apache attack helicopters, a platform that has long been central to Israel’s precision strike capabilities. In addition, the package includes $1.9 billion for 3,250 infantry assault vehicles to bolster ground forces, as well as $750 million in spare parts and power supplies for Israel’s armored personnel carriers.
News of the proposed sale broke just as the IDF expanded operations in Gaza City, targeting Hamas infrastructure with intensified bombardments. The timing also comes days before the United Nations General Assembly in New York, where Gaza will be high on the international agenda.
The deal underscores President Donald Trump’s unwavering support for Israel’s military, even as Democratic lawmakers in Washington grow increasingly critical of Israel’s campaign against Hamas. More than half of Senate Democrats recently opposed further arms sales, and a new resolution has been introduced urging US recognition of a Palestinian state.
For Israel, the acquisition would provide vital reinforcements at a moment of heightened regional tension. The helicopters and armored vehicles are expected to significantly enhance both defensive and offensive capabilities, ensuring the IDF remains prepared for threats ranging from Gaza to Iran’s proxies across the region.
The White House did not immediately comment on the reports. Still, the move signals Washington’s ongoing commitment to Israel’s security and to maintaining the qualitative military edge that has long been the cornerstone of the US-Israel defense partnership.
