The deliberation reportedly came in response to Carlson’s increasingly pointed commentary on Middle East affairs and recent tensions involving senior American officials.

While Israeli authorities have not confirmed or denied the report publicly, the story gained traction online, especially on Telegram and X/Twitter. Additional reports suggested that Israeli decision-makers feared that denying entry to a high-profile figure like Carlson could damage the country’s public diplomacy efforts and create an unnecessary diplomatic controversy with Washington.

The timing of the report coincided with an online exchange between Carlson and Mike Huckabee, the U.S. ambassador to Israel. Huckabee responded by inviting Carlson to a sit-down interview an invitation Carlson publicly accepted.
