AOC’s New York Office Defaced by Anti-Israel Vandals
Bronx congresswoman targeted after voting against cutting aid to Israel in defense bill.

The Bronx office of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) was defaced on Sunday by anti-Israel vandals angry over her recent vote against cutting U.S. aid to Israel. According to the New York Post, the vandals scrawled the words “funds genocide in Gaza” in red paint across the building’s exterior.
A radical group calling itself the Boogie Down Liberation Front claimed responsibility for the vandalism. In a statement, the group accused Ocasio-Cortez and fellow Bronx representative Ritchie Torres of using the local community as a political stepping stone. The group also declared its support for “the people of Palestine” and accused AOC of “hypocrisy.”
Ocasio-Cortez, a frequent critic of Israeli policies, had voted against an amendment proposed by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) to cut $500 million from Israel’s missile defense systems. Explaining her stance, AOC stated: “Marjorie Taylor Greene’s amendment does nothing to cut off offensive aid to Israel nor end the flow of U.S. munitions being used in Gaza. Of course, I voted against it. What it does do is cut off defensive Iron Dome capacities while allowing the actual bombs killing Palestinians to continue.”
At the time of reporting, Ocasio-Cortez had not issued a public statement regarding the vandalism on either her personal or congressional social media accounts.
This incident underscores the growing hostility faced by public figures over their positions on Israel, as well as the rise of antisemitic and anti-Israel rhetoric across the United States.
