Israel Police said volunteers from the Etzion-Judea Rescue Unit rescued a couple and their four children on Tuesday after flash floods trapped them during a field trip in eastern Gush Etzion. The volunteers reached the family's location and brought them out safely from deep within the terrain, police said. It was the unit's third rescue of the day in the flooded wadis of the Judean Desert, where its search, rescue and resilience teams were operating. Police reported no casualties in the evening's rescues. All six were in stable condition and needed no medical treatment.
